Why "Mustard Seed"
Big things start small.
You don't need a windfall, an inheritance, or a lucky break to build real financial strength. You need a seed — a habit, a decision, a first step — planted and tended consistently over time.
"The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed... which indeed is the least of all seeds; but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree."

That's the idea this whole membership is built on. Whatever your background or beliefs, the principle holds: small, faithful actions compound into something far bigger than they appear at the start. That's what Get It, Grow It, and Keep It are built around — not a get-rich-quick promise, but a get-rich-slow discipline.

Who's behind it
Bill Saulsberry didn't start Mustard Seed Concepts because he needed something to do.
He started it because he believed there was a better way to serve people — and he had spent years learning exactly what that looked like.
During his time in the U.S. Air Force, Bill learned that reliability isn't a feature. It's a baseline. You show up. You do the job right. You take responsibility for every detail, because someone is counting on you — and cutting corners isn't an option.
Alongside his service, Bill studied business management, principles of accounting, and business finance — building the technical foundation behind the practical money lessons he'd later teach.
After transitioning out of the Air Force, Bill spent two years hosting his own radio show, Mustard Seed Financial Literacy, where he heard firsthand the challenges everyday people face with money — the same challenges that would go on to shape the three pillars of this membership: Get It, Grow It, Keep It.
What you're joining
Let's talk about money — how to get it, grow it, and keep it.
Hi, I'm Bill. Welcome to Mustard Seed Concepts. You joined because you care about your financial future and want to understand how money really works. Over the next several courses, we're going to explore the world of personal finance together — the most important steps to take right now, along with strategies and ideas that set you on the best path to financial success. Mastering your money isn't just about dollars and cents. It's about the right mindset and simple, effective habits that get you closer to your goals.
The real issue: financial literacy
Financial literacy is the understanding of personal finance, credit, debt, and strategic saving and investing — the knowledge you need to make financially responsible decisions for everyday living and retirement. That's why it matters so much: low financial literacy means borrowing more, building less wealth, and paying unnecessary fees — while any real improvement in it can change the future you're able to provide for your family.
Money may not buy happiness, but being broke doesn't either. Inside Mustard Seed Concepts, you'll find real, practical lessons across all three pillars — from setting a budget that works, to raising your credit score, to starting your first $50 investment.
